Beijing

Day 20 First day in Beijing, slightly overwhelmed by the vast Metropolis, massive buildings and intense heat. My Airbnb host Gloria Lee has bee so helpful with showing me around the local area. We visited a craft market, large shopping centre with moving inflatable sculpture, braved the underground, went to a surreal store that sells sunglasses and a fantastic hidden Latin American themed bar with live music. Bottom right is the view from my room on 24th floor of the huge apartment block.
