Day 18 Last day in Jingdezhen. My Chinese artist friends came over to JCI to see the studio and what I’ve been doing here, Master Chen (pictured right) then kindly hosted us all for a leaving do lunch. Ryan Mitchell the coordinator of the international artist programme (centre), Elvar Orn, resident Icelandic artist (right of centre) my translator Fungwei (in foreground), the rest of the group are all artists. Had a wander around the campus for the last time and was captured by the profusion of flowers and the lotus buds just starting to open. I’m all packed and ready for the flight to Beijing at 8.15pm with a heavy heart and a heavy suitcase.
