Day 8

Bit of a delay getting to the International Studio at the Uni today as they were preparing for degree exhibitions. I decided to track down Felicity Aylieff’s work at Red House Studio which she runs with her Japanese husband, also a renowned ceramic artist. Her vessels are huge, the tall pieces are higher than me, my favourite however is the beautiful pot bottom right. I managed to gain entrance to her studio and love the brushes she uses. Have now relocated to JCI and will start work tomorrow working in porcelain, have drawn up some ideas and have a good workspace. Staying in the halls of residence and have a card to cover food so they are looking after me.
