China
Day 10
Put all my work in the drying cabinet and did a number of glaze tests in the morning. After lunch a lovely student called Pang took me to his professor’s studio for a demonstration on brush painting. His professor has exhibited in many countries and produces figurative ceramic sculpture, graphic work and more traditional paintings. After a demonstration, he handed over to me and I was expected to just come up with an idea do had to wing it without any source material. It was a fascinating afternoon and I learned so much just from watching him, he then painted my name in Chinese and gave me a piece of his artwork!
